Ben Leadbetter is a pensions consultant and qualified physics teacher with experience teaching across Scotland and England. Originally from the North of England, he has lived in Scotland for the past 17 years and has spent the last three years in Perthshire.

He holds a degree in Physics from the University of St Andrews and is the founder of STEM Squad, an award-winning science edutainment company that supports learning in both primary and secondary schools across Scotland. Through this work, he is committed to making science engaging, accessible, and relevant for young people.

Alongside his professional roles, Ben is actively involved in his local community. He regularly participates in Perth Parkruns, enjoys countryside walks with his dogs, and supports local initiatives.

Ben is passionate about protecting and enhancing the unique environment and ecosystems of Perthshire. He is particularly focused on building a climate-friendly future for the next generation, with an emphasis on practical, family-oriented approaches to sustainability. He is a strong advocate for hands-on education that empowers individuals and communities to adopt more sustainable everyday practices.
