Nicki has over 25 years of experience working in the environmental sector in Scotland. She began her career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, developing behaviour change campaigns for Scottish Water, before becoming Campaign Manager for the national Waste Aware Scotland programme from 2001 to 2010.
Since then, she has been Director of a Perthshire-based environmental communications and research consultancy. Through this work, she specialises in stakeholder engagement and consultation, market and consumer research, behavioural insight, monitoring and evaluation, and both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. She has led and managed a wide range of projects supporting the development and implementation of environmental policy across the private, public, and third sectors in Scotland and throughout the UK.
As part of her consultancy role, Nicki also coordinates the activities of the Resource Management Association Scotland (RMAS), the trade association representing the SME resource and waste management sector in Scotland. In this capacity, she represents member interests and engages directly with key stakeholders, including the Scottish Government, SEPA, Zero Waste Scotland, Circular Communities Scotland, and senior representatives from across Scotland’s business community.
